It pains me to say it but I think I…
You might not have heard of White Stuff but it’s a fab clothing store that is both online and on the High Street. But it isn’t just that I love about them. It’s their links to the local community and raising money for local causes done via White Stuff Foundation that really sets them apart for me. They pledge to donate a percentage of annual profits annually And, dear reader, they have asked me to tell you about it as they open their latest store, in Manchester in August.
Well because you can have a say in which of the two short listed local projects get a share of the Foundation’s charitable fund. The winner from the public vote will get regular donations and support from the local store. The runner up will get a one off donation, too. These are two finalists:

But be quick, voting closes on Sunday 20th July
I was lucky enough recently to have a chat with Sally Jane Crane who is the Foundation Manager, recently and learned a bit more about the organisation and how we can all get involved.
Sally told me that there are a whole list of new stores opening over the coming months and each one will have its own local charity that it supports, chosen by public vote each time. I think this is such a fabulous idea, really encouraging people to shop locally and support a local good cause too. You can even nominate a good cause to be the chosen charity (provided it meets certain criteria). There is more information here: Grants and Support
The sale of their flip flops also supports White Stuff Foundation, with all the profits from their sale being donated. So if you are off on holiday this summer, why not buy a pair and know that you have contributed to a cause close to home?
Which leads me neatly onto to the final way you can get involved with White Stuff this summer. They are running a competition called #FootieSelfie and the idea is very very simple:
All the terms and conditions are here: #FootieSelfie Competition
And as you can see the prize is fantastic. I have entered, well it’s rude not to isnt it? The pic above is one I took this morning, on the first morning of our holiday in France. Monday morning, 9am and my feet are in the pool. Go on, hate me now.
So please do enter, it couldnt be more simple. And importantly don’t forget to vote!
