An easy, one dish supper using up leftover meat and vegetables

Ingredients
  • 5009 cooked mixed veg
  • 5009 chicken or turkey meat, cut into small chunks
  • 150g Cheshire cheese, grated
  • 100g onions, finely chopped
  • 2 pinches ground black pepper
  • 4 fresh sage leaves torn into several pieces
  • 25g butter
  • 15g plain flour
  • 350g milk
  • sea salt, to taste
  • 150g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
Instructions
  1. Arrange the meat and veg in a baking dish, ensuring it is evenly mixed and distributed
  2. Gently fry the onion in a pan and add to the meat and veg dish
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan, gently, and add the flour until it resembles dough, taking it off the heat. Slowly pour in the milk stirring constantly until all milk is used, and you have a creamy sauce.
  4. Add grated cheese to sauce and stir in
  5. Add the sage and stir, then pour sauce over the vegetable and meat mix
  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  7. Cover with breadcrumbs and the thyme leaves
  8. Bake for half an hour or until browned on top
