How to socialise with zero energy

Getting together with friends can seem like a lot of effort. You have to get up and dressed, you might end up cooking or going out, you have to keep up with conversation all night. And when you are already exhausted at the end of the week, this is often the last thing you want!

But it would be a real shame for your social life to die just because you don’t have the energy you used to have. In fact, your friends are probably feeling the same way and are worried about losing their connections too. This is the reality of adulthood.

Fortunately, there is a solution, you just need to switch up your strategy.

Chill with a Cinema Night

Being in the same room with other people is a really good start and if you don’t have the energy to hold a meaningful conversation, there is nothing wrong with putting on a film or comedy show to enjoy together. To get plenty of choice, you might like to consider using Kodi, an open source media platform. To get good speeds you might like to look into a VPN and you can read more about that on TroyPoint

Once you have chosen your content, all you need is a glass of wine or cup of tea depending on your vibe and a bucket of popcorn. In fact, if you want to make this an even more relaxed affair, you could even put your pjs on and snuggle up under blankets.

Eat with Bring a Plate Party

Sometimes hosting a dinner party is just too much. You have to think about recipes, shop for ingredients and make a decent dinner before you can even begin to relax! A good compromise is to host a bring a plate party.

Ask your friends  to each bring a component for a meal. So someone might bring a starter, another could bring a desert and you could do the main. Alternatively, if you are inviting a larger group, you could treat it more like an indoor picnic, just make sure that you don’t end up with a table full of chips and dips!

Relax at Your Home Spa

Home spa ideas are abundant these days and you can easily turn your living room into a peak relaxation zone. All you need are a few products and you can easily start a pampering session with your friends. In fact, you would be surprised at the number of ingredients for face masks you already have in your fridge!

Put some soothing music on and cover your eyes with cucumber slices, lie back and let your face masks do their magic. There’s no need to talk, no need to think and plenty of opportunities to just take a nap!

You don’t have to be in full health to enjoy getting together with friends and sometimes, just sitting quietly together is all the socialization you need. So, don’t hide yourself away or persuade yourself that you don’t have the energy – give yourself a break and let your friends join in too!
