My love of all things smelly is legendary. This is a really quick post to tell you about some lovely products that I was sent recently. All the products are inspired by the plants grown in the walled Garden of Gordon Castle in Scotland.
The eight acre Victorian Walled Garden forms the centrepiece of the grounds; the lovingly restored gardens playing host to an ancient collection of 269 fruit trees and many rare plants, along with an ornamental maze and fully restored Victorian Greenhouse.
I was sent a little travel set which was perfect for my recent trip to France. Four small bottles that all complied with the “less than 100ml” rule, and in a cute little white bag. They were perfect for three days away. Shampoo, Conditioner, body lotion and shower gel, all for £24. The smell was incredible and I kept getting wafts of it hours after my shower.
Annoyingly I left two of the bottles in the shower on the last morning so didn’t get to finish them. I was so annoyed in fact that I did contemplate phoning the hotel to ask them to send them to me. But given that I had also taken all of their little pots of shower gel too ( I do have a bit of a thing about hotel toiletries) I thought it best to keep my head below the parapet.
I also got to try a gorgeous candle. There is always a smelly candle burning when I am working. Always. And I have been known to spend ridiculous amounts on them. This one though for £24 was great value. I found that by lighting it for just a couple of hours and then blowing it out the smell lingered for hours. And in fact just having it on the coffee table made the living room smell heavenly.
The chances are that Gordon Castle is not the first place you would look online for gorgeous smellies or even food and drink gifts, but I really recommend you bookmark it as the products I have seen are beautiful, and great value for money
