Finding Comfort After Chaos (AD)

If you follow me on instagram you may have seen me mention that over Christmas last year Mr B’s family home had suffered from water damage to a bedroom after a storm during building works. Not only had water started pouring into the bedroom and kitchen, the ceiling of the bedroom then collapsed on to his mum whilst she was trying to get furniture and other items out of the room. Not the phone call Mr B wanted whilst driving up the M6 to go and help after a call from his mum to say the roof was leaking and she couldn’t get hold of the builder. Turns out the builder had tragically died but that’s a whole other story you aren’t here for.

It has taken a while to get the room back to being habitable and the last thing that needed to happen was for the bed to be replaced. Lady B was nervous about choosing a bed from a company she didnt know, and how easy it would be to get it delivered and installed. Horror stories of items being dumped on front doorsteps and “not my problem, love” haunt us and since we are over 300 miles away it has been one of those “we must sort that out next time we are up” situations.

That’s where Simba came in, with an email asking if I would like to receive one of their beds to review. Oh yes please, but can it be delivered three hundred miles away? Turns out it can.

We chose their Wilmslow Divan Bed, if you know our family you will know why. It felt like a small wink from the universe, suggesting that perhaps, things were starting to look up.

The Wilmslow comes in a variety of sizes, colours and with or without either two or four drawers. The configuration we went for, a two drawer double divan in vanilla is priced at £799 and that includes delivery and installation.

A Seamless Experience from Start to Finish

Selecting and ordering the bed was a breeze. Simba’s website offered clear options and straightforward navigation, allowing us to choose the perfect bed without the hassle often associated with furniture shopping. Divans offer a great storage solution so seemed like the most sensible choice, and with a range of colours to choose from it didnt take us long to find the right one for “the blue room”.

Delivery Day: A Testament to Convenience

The delivery process itself was excellent. An email asking us to choose then delivery day and then a text the day before giving a two hour window. On the scheduled day, Simba’s team arrived on time, with smiles and a professionalism that was very much welcomed and soon put any nerves Lady B had to bed (did you see what I did there?). They brought in the meticulously packaged bed, carried it up the stairs, assembled it, removed all the packaging and didn’t even want a cup of tea.

For anyone looking for a bed that combines ease of purchase, delivery convenience, and exceptional comfort, I cannot recommend Simba enough. Their attention to detail, customer-oriented service, and high-quality products truly stand out in a crowded market.

The bed is fabulous, and now awaits the arrival of a mattress later this week, closely followed by us.
