for myself and a request for votes. Yes, it is that time of year again. The Oscars have been and gone, the BAFTAs are done and dusted and now it is all down to the BiBS: The Brilliance in Blogging Awards. The eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that over there on the right look…. up there.
There is a new badge asking for votes in the Brilliance in Blogging Awards. The very same award I have won before, and that my parents eluded to when they bought me that blue plaque for Christmas. It is always a thrill to be nominated for awards by your peers, and always a shock when I see my name on the shortlist. Especially this year when I figured I wouldn’t say anything before the nominations closed because I didn’t think there was any point. I thought this would be my year to sit it all out.
But its an honour to be on the shortlist for the Social Media award again, as you know, social media is a bit of a passion and more than once I have said “Social Media has changed my life”. It’s no under exaggeration to say that it has gone on to change other lives too, as we showed with Team Honk and the #LastingChange campaign when we were in Kenya earlier this year with Comic Relief.
So I am going to keep this brief and say that if you did find it possible to click on this link
and vote for me in the Social Media category I would be chuffed to bits. Please do also cast a vote in the other categories whilst you are there, all the blogs listed will be as chuffed as I am to have made this far and honoured to have your vote.
From the heart of my bottom, thank you
