A day in the life of my hands

I am always wary of running or entering competitions on my blog as I am never sure they offer much to you, my dear reader.   And also there are very strict rules around competitions and I don’t want to fall foul of any of them.

But this one being run by Carex to celebrate their 20th birthday grabbed my attention as I thought I could have some fun with it.   “A day in the life of my hands” is the title.

Well they say a picture tells a thousand words so I there you go, above is a sample of many of the things my hands get up to.

Typically it goes like this:

06.30  Turn off alarm (5.45 on a Monday morning so I can get up and do J’s ironing and wave him off at 6.45)

06.45 Shower / get dressed / dry hair

07.15 Wake youngest for school / breakfast for her and animals.

07.40 Leave the house on school run

08.30 Empty dishwasher / load washing machine

09.00 Walk dog

09.20 Kettle on, make tea

09.30 Desk

11.00 Empty washing machine + tumble dryer

11.15 More tea and back to desk

13.30 Throw Hoover around

13.45  Back to desk with more tea

14.30 Look in fridge and wonder what the hell to do for dinner

15.00 Leave the house for school run taking dog to walk en route

16.30 Park outside supermarket and do a ram raid for dinner

17.00  Feed teen and finish stuff at desk

18.30 Start dinner for Mr B and I

19.30 Eat with Mr B

20.00 Collapse with Martini

22.00 Take dog for walk

22.30 Collapse into bed.

Looking at it like that my hands take a bit of a battering!

So fingers crossed I win the year’s supply of Carex goodies!!
