I had pretty much given up on ever find a pair of boots that I could wear to walk the dog but then go straight to a meeting without having to change. Up until recently the only boots I had been able to wear in the winter were either ankle boots, which don’t really work with the leggings I live in during the winter, or wellies. Which I can’t really wear to a meeting or to the supermarket. In fact I can’t even drive in them so I figured warm good looking multi-tasking boots were never going to be achievable. You see I have really wide calves and so anything above the ankle doesn’t fit. Or has a huge elasticated pane that then looks stretched and screams “look at me, I have fat legs”.
No thanks.
Step forward then Hotter Shoes who asked me to come along to a blogger even recently and told me I could chose any pair of shoes or boots to take away with me. They also assured me that their boots were made differently from other boots and that they were certain I would find a pair that fitted. They have been making shoes since the 1950s and are still owned and run by the same family. They have flourished recently, opening more and more shops on the high street, whilst growing an overseas market thanks to their great website and call centres.

All made with their polyurethane sole which makes them super light to wear and incredibly durable, and importantly when it comes to my new boots, impossible to allow leaks. Most shoes and boots are made by gluing the body of the shoe to the sole, Hotter make it differently, the two things are made as one so they can’t come apart, or let in water.
