is today!! Today is the day that all their plans for 2014 are revealed. And I just wanted to give you, my lovely readers, a heads up on some of things on their website: Sport Relief
There is much excitement and chatter about an episode of Only Fools and Horses being shown soon as it features DAVID BECKHAM *runs round with pants on head*. The “Lovely David” as the gorgeous Lady Barrow calls him, is in the episode that now seems to have the #BeckhamInPeckham. Genius
And whilst all the official things are going on of course there is the Team Honk support and fund raising. We are now only just in to week two and already we have smashed the £5000 barrier of our £20,000 target. There are things happening literally all over the country. And involving, well I can’t list them all, it has been extraordinary so far. And there is even more to come over the next nine weeks.
Please subscribe to the TeamHonk Blog and get updates on all things direct to your inbox. There are photos, tweets, blog posts linked up, stories, you name it, it is all on that post.
Along with info on how you can get involved in the official Sainsburys Games:
The first ever Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games take place from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd March 2014. The public can join the fun and games by running, swimming or cycling their way to raising cash at over a thousand venues around the country, including the landmark events at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
As one of the biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active raise cash and change lives. The money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people both at home in the UK and across the world.
And I have it on good authority that there are limited places being released at the Aquatic Centre in London for the Swimathon today! So get over and sign up if you haven’t already.
If you would like to donate to Team Honk then the giving page is here: Team Honk Relay or if you would prefer (which would be lovely) to donate to the leg of the relay I am involved in personally, you can do that here: Fleet Team Honk
That picture above is me. In a Sports Relief All in One (for gawd sake don’t call it a onesie) which is what I will be wearing for the leg. Whilst using a Micro-Scooter, kindly donated to us by them for the day, which is super lovely of them. But I am going to look like Po from the Telly Tubbies, don’t you think?
Yeah okay, you can stop laughing now and donate!! I have go 20 miles IN PUBLIC looking like that. Please make it worthwhile. You would pay good money to go to a comedy night and laugh that hard, wouldn’t you? So why not chuck me a fiver? You could also save a child’s life if it then bought a mosquito net.
And I won’t feel quite so stupid.
Sponsored you T, good luck xx
Despite the stupid talking (Teletubbies not you) I think Po from the Teletubbies is kind of cute. And you are awesome. So this is all good! Go Team Honk!!!
I have JUST got my onesie. I have yet to put it on (the cat’s taken residence on it) but I suspect I’m going to look like the Jolly Red Giant. Am so loving all the Team Honkyness going off all over the place at the moment, it really brings us all together, doesn’t it? 🙂
fabulous…. LOVE the onesie, it IS a onesie Tanya, we could call it a babygrow, or a romper suit? If you’d prefer??
You are rocking that All In One Bouncers – ROCKING IT!
Have the public, horseriders and constabulary been informed?
Have you checked your insurance?
Have you got any insurance??
All the best for your stint!
Love xx
you will be awesome Mummy 🙂 im in awe of what the community has been doing and plan to do from all over the country, proud to know you all who have arranged it xxx
BeckhaminPekham is genuis!
Such an AMAZING EVENT!!! Can’t wait to get going..
I hadn’t though of you as Po, but now you mention it
*Sniggers* I so wish we could get together for our legs and determine who looks dafter, you dressed as Po or me dressed as Buzz. Why do we do these things to ourselves???
And BeckhaminPeckham is totally my cup of tea 🙂
At least I won’t feel quite so daft now. Just realised I’ve got to travel into London in my ‘outfit’ with commuters who will (at best) stare at me.
Still, the scooters are great aren’t they ?
Go T !!!
Thanks so much for getting us all onboard with this – however I’m not impressed that my all in one (note non-use of the onesie word) is so long that the crotch comes down to just above my knees. Ridiculous is not the word!
