Bounty flavoured waffles are easy and incredibly tasty!
I know. They didn’t make waffles on #GBBO last week, even though it was batter week. They did churros (we don’t have a deep fat fryer), filled Yorkshires (I didn’t have time) or lacy pancakes (yeah, can you imagine me, the heavy handed one trying to make lace pancakes?!). Nope if I am making batter, I am making waffles in my Sage Appliances Smart Waffle.
The possibilities for mixing up with this batter with other ingredients is endless quite frankly. But since I love my waffles with coconut oil in rather than with butter I thought that I would extend that flavour by adding some cocoa to the flour, and drizzling them with chocolate sauce and a sprinkling of desiccated coconut for a full blown Bounty Waffle.
Here is the recipe
- 250g flour
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 50g cocoa
- 3 eggs
- 430ml milk
- 50g sugar
- DECORATION
- Dessicated coconut
- Chocolate sauce
- Place all ingredients in high speed blender and blend until creamy.
- Cook in waffle machine as per manufacturers instructions
- Sprinkle with dessicated coconut whilst still warm
- Drizzle with chocolate sauce
A dollop of ice cream on the top and they would the perfect dessert, ready in minutes
they look so good! every time I see delicious waffles like these I think about getting a waffle maker, and then it goes out of my head until the next time – but Christmas is a coming…
Oooh heck, I love bounties! Just like Helen I’m going to have to put a waffle maker on my Christmas list too!

thank you for joining in x
I love this idea – but it is the bounties that get left in the selection box at ours. I always finish them off though!
You’re right, why didn’t they do waffles the show, everyone loves a waffle! Must try these, I have a waffle maker and don’t use it enough. They look delicious!
